So today was my family Christmas. We got up at about 10:30 and began cooking and cleaning. Not long after, John arrived and helped us do random things like try and fold out the table, take out the trash, and make those ritz candy things.

Larry arrived next.

Then Brother, Kelly, and Amelia arrived. I was pretty disappointed that Alexander wasn't there.

Brother was pretty awesome though. He got a gun for Christmas and when he remembered John was going to be here he brought it. Classic big brother. <3

So we socialized for a while. Played a little wii party games 2, and then opened gifts. My gift was on back order but I was fine with that because I got to help Amelia open her gifts! Honored! Larry pissed us off though. He didn't get mom anything. Bastard. He's on thin ice and he's really upsetting mom. I cannot have that....

Amelia was ADORABLE as always. And Funky Town always prevails! She had fun playing with the pet gate. I dunno what it was about it but she loved to hold the bars and stand up looking through it. I got lots of pictures of her "in jail"

Kelly was actually civil today. She only asked one awkward question all day. I was very proud of her! John lucked out!

They all seemed to like him. I know mom said she did. He talked nerd with Davey so I know he likes him. He's not a drug dealer so I think Kelly approves. lol He's just nice and funny. He even took up for Dana once when we were talking so I think Dana likes him too.

He's clicking. That's a good sign.

After opening gifts we ate dinner which was AWESOME because it was roast and rice and gravy. YUM.

Then John proclaimed being undefeated at Wii tennis so my brother challenged him to a game. He dominated. So then I played. Then my sister... or was it mom? Well then Larry played. John obliterated us all.

More socializing and then everyone left one by one. Though when John left I finally got to kiss him on the lips. Nothing complex. Just a nice peck on the lips. It was nice though. :D

So I had a great family gathering. Mom loves her wii, I got to kiss John, and family approves. Seems like a pretty Win day!

6 a.m. Traditions

Christmas is awesome so far. Well, it could be better but this is as good as it gets.

The reason it could be better is because of Sister's attitude. She's a total killjoy and a scrooge. How can you hate Christmas music?? I just don't understand her.

Anyway, we woke up at 6 in the morning and opened presents as is family tradition.

+ A new To Become an Artist poster. Like the one my brother bought me when I was little but got ruined. It's smaller but now it will fit better on my door. :D

+ And a ORIGINAL LEGO HARLEY QUINN! :D Complete with Hammer! Kickass!

So it's going alright today. We had gumbo with Larry since he was spending Christmas alone mom had the heart to invite him over.

btw, Stranger Than Fiction was AWESOME. :D I really loved it.

Christmas Feeling

Has the holiday just begun? It feels like it's been around forever and yet it feels like it just started. I'm disoriented with the time already!

I've been having a great time with my family so far this holiday. Since Mom bought the witches ball at the ren fair there have been a lot less fights in our house. Proof that it really does trap evil. ;)

My friends are planning Christmas for Wednesday but I'm not sure if I will be able to make it. Christmas with John's family is Thursday, then Christmas, then our family Christmas on Saturday. That would be four Christmases in a row! But Mom has agreed to dropping me off Tuesday night and picking me up Wednesday night but I would hate to have her do that. She's done so much already. All those car trips...

But anyway. John called tonight and asked me if I wanted to go to see a movie with our friends in Hammond tomorrow so I'm all excited. Not sure if I should bring the gifts for them just in case I can't make it Wednesday. Is John invited Wednesday? Then a ride would be easier but he probably has to work...

I bought a new outfit to wear to John's house for Christmas. Black jeans, a red and black stripped sweater, and red and black striped knee high socks. It looks awesome and I feel like Harley! <3

We made Sister's MedVance ornament today. It looks much better than our SLU or LSU ornaments. Now we're jealous. lol

I also made Larry's ornament from sculpy. It came out pretty good even if mom and I did drop it on the way to the oven to bake it. Oppsy.

It's feeling a little bit more like Christmas now. We listened to Christmas music and made ornaments. We're going to be making candy soon so that should be fun. :D Can't wait! I like it when it FEELS like Christmas. Then I really get into it. Mom figures it's not cold enough to feel like Christmas yet. Oh well. I hope it gets just a little colder. I don't like the cold but if it helps the mood that would be delightful. <3

Off to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for the first time!

Princess and the Frog

Yesterday was pretty fun! Eileen was bored and had to go shopping so she took me with her. We went to the Party Store then Target. While we were there I told her I was going to see The Princess and the Frog with Tara and the others. She said she wanted to come too. So after we left Target we got our tickets early and then went to McDonald's and sat there until it was about time for the movie. A little before we were to leave for the movie, we decided to buy some candy and drinks to smuggle into the movie so we stopped at Walgreens and bought a bunch of candy.

Then came movie time! Bonnie and Molly came too, as well as Kaci. However the theatre we were in ran out of seats so Kaci just went home. ;~;

Tara was adorable though. She had a little tiara and jewelry with a little plush frog. She's so cute.

So the movie was AMAZING! I will give no spoilers here. But there were many weepy eyes. I almost cried. It was sad but SUCH a good movie. We loved the Louisiana jokes. It was a great night. :D

After that Eileen and I went back to the dorms but she told me she had never seen Enchanted so I brought it over to her room and we watched it. Disney princess double feature! :D

Today... however... was HORRIBLE.

I had to work graduation. I woke up at 6:20 and got ready. We met down at the station and had a meeting and such. I had to take off my jacket and put on a rain coat because I would be outside for several hours. So I get out there and it's freezing, and raining, and windy, and I have to help direct traffic which I don't know how to do, and people are rude and impatient, and I wanted to SCREAM. It was terrible. Out in the freezing rain....

So I got back to the dorm and took a HOT bath and a nap.

BLEH.

For finals week it's been pretty good. :D Not having to constantly be somewhere was a big relief.

Sunday I brought the Super Nintendo to school as a stress relief aid for Kit and I. I invited John and Ethan over to play as well so we took turns, Ethan and Kit as Luigi and John and I as Mario. In the end it was just John and I playing because they sucked at it. But it was still one of the most fun nights I've had in a very long time! I miss hanging out with friends.

I didn't have any finals Monday so I just hung out and studied a bit. But mainly just did nothing. I actually don't remember what I did Monday. Anyone remember? o_o

Tuesday I had Biology and Latin which were pretty easy. Biology I wasn't so sure about but I got a B so I must have done alright. Latin was easy but the translation took me longer than I thought it would. I just got so bored and brain fried halfway through I just decided to just and daydream for a little while before continuing.

Wednesday I had 3D Modeling and Sculpture. 3D modeling was cool. We played our animations for the class to critique. After mine played the whole class started commenting on the actual moves in the chess game rather than critiquing my animation. One guy said that we should probably be commenting on my work. Another guy said that it says something that we unconsciously accepted the chess game as an actual event and commented on that rather than talking about the animating itself. So I think it went well despite the fact my teacher gave me a B. Oh well.

Sculpture was fine. We just showed up and cleaned. He picked 4 girls, myself included, who had to sort the scrap wood into piles of keep, throw away, and small little blocks of wood for a group of visiting children to make sculptures from.

After that I asked John for a ride to the bank to deposit my paycheck. $500. I was very happy with it. Anyway, he, Ethan, and I all rode to the bank but it was closed so we went to Walmart because Ethan had to go anyway. I cashed my check there and got a ring from the Silver Pyramid because I don't need no MAN to buy me a ring.

Though I have realized... everytime I get into a relationship I buy or somehow obtain a new ring... Craig - Graduation Ring. Zach - Butterfly Ring. John - Flower Ring.

And somehow, after we break up, I always misplace the ring obtained in that relationship. Lost the graduation ring outside my grandmother's house, just recently lost the butterfly ring... All I can say is, I can't break up with John because I like this ring. lol

Thursday I took the day off of work so Kit and I decided after my final we would have a fun night together before the holidays. I was super excited about it.

My ceramics final was awesome. He just walked up to me, said I had done everything he had asked of me an that he was giving me an A. I was very excited! He said "You actually made the 5 pound pitchers." Shocked, I said "Wasn't I supposed to?" And he said "Those are REALLY hard. And yours came out REALLY nice!"

So I was very happy for a while. :D

I got back to the dorm, ready to start our happy fun movie night.... and Kit was asleep. So much for fun.

I went to Cayman with John and Ethan.

OH! I gotta tell ya! The other day John and I went eat dinner at Cayman. He asked where I wanted to sit so I said "The Moon." He laughed and then asked where I really wanted to sit. I said it again with a very serious face, saying that I was curious to see what he would designate the moon. When I sat down at the table with him he had covered it with napkins to make it white like the moon, he named the napkin holder the 'sea of tranquility,' and the salt and pepper shakers where the moon landing site. It was adorkable. <3

Anyway! So after Cayman with John and Ethan we went back to Ethan's dorm and hung out for an hour. HILARITY ensued. They are so funny when they are together.

Then I went back to my dorm and watched Revenge of the Nerds by myself. Boring.

BTW, Ethan is an awesome artist. :D

I'm going to see The Princess and the Frog tonight with Tara. :D Super excited about that! I have been getting to hang out with my friends a little bit more lately so when I do it's really awesome for me. <3

John is so different from Zach. He was so clingy and wanted to do something with me every minute. I think John is a lot more my speed. He's taking it really slow with no pressure at all. It's like having a good friend just with longer, nicer, hugs and more adorable interactions. :D Like we're sims who haven't gotten high enough on the relationship meter to unlock certain moves yet.

That comparison just made me a little more nerdy and yet a little bit more sad of an individual. XD

Mistah J

So my first day in a relationship was ok. I kept getting comments from people about the status update which was nice and expected but still a little... Not embarrassing but... You know, it got a reaction from me. I get slightly uncomfortable when relationships are brought up when I am involved. I like talking about it and I like the attention but there is always this unexplainable discomfort about it. I'm nervous it's going to keep me from really liking John more now that we are in a relationship. I tend to get really uncomfortable once the relationship status is slapped on.

It's going to be weird when we get to a point beyond goodbye HUGS.

Anyway. I didn't really get to see him that much that day. I stopped by with Evan for a bit. We warmed up, discussed our dislike for Uma Thurman, ect.

Today I got to see him for a bit longer with Aeriel there. We saw the photos he printed for class of scary locations.

We've been texting each other a lot too. Especially while I'm at work.

I've changed him to Mistah J on my phone and he changed me to Harley on his. <3

Relationship

So today was a very important day. :D

John and I went to the movies as we planned. A Christmas Carol. But unlike how I planned I chickened out in asking him to date me BEFORE the movie. Oh well.

We got there and we were the ONLY people in the theatre. We were so excited to have our own private viewing! Seriously! The ONLY ones there! I guess since it was a week day and all and pretty late. 9:30. Anyway.

So we looked up and noticed half the screen was blue. Confused, I turned around to the projector booth and yelled. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYE! 'mere." Like Gabriel Iglesias. So then we proceeded to shout various things to try and get his attention and tell him the screen was blue. Well, I random slipped into a black woman voice and started shouting things like "OH HEEEEELL NO! I didn't pay $15 dollars just to see a blue screen. You bettah get your crackah ass, pimply face, self to that projector and fix this shit! I gotta get mah movie on!" And such to that likeness. Randomly, as the previews started playing the blue went away and we heard a voice yell from the projector room, "Enjoy the movie!"

We awkwardly responded with our thanks, knowing he must have heard all of that.

Another couple eventually showed up and spoiled our fun.

So the movie was AMAZING! It looked so real and the 3D was awesome! We kept trying to catch snow on our tongues, we put our arms out for flying parts, and joked about how high all the ghosts were.

During the really cold scenes I pretended to be cold and he tried to warm me up. :D

Finally we left and shouted our thanks once more to the projector guy.

I wanted to tell him as we were leaving the theatre but then there was that awkward ride home to look forward to so I waited.

We rode home to Shaffer the Darklord and Dr. Horrible. Duets FTW. <3

And then came the awkward goodbye at my dorm. We stood there for a full minute just staring at each other saying, "... So..... yep..." and such. All the while me trying to get the courage to say I liked him. Finally he broke the silence with, "Hey, can I ask you something?"

"Yes?" I said too eagerly.

"Will you go out with me?"

"YES!" :D

"Wow. That took a long time for me to ask."

"I know, right?"

"I'm sorry."

"Nono! I couldn't do it either!"

So we hugged, I turned to my door, and asked that age old question...

"Epic Gunfight?"

"You know it."

Short-lived. We ran out of ammo... But next time... NEXT TIME....

Rainbow Girl

So like, this week has been ok. It's gone up and down all over the place so I guess I could say it's balanced itself out.

I'm doing really well on my sculpture and 3D modeling assignments. My teachers are really impressed.

Now, I'm impressed Harley came out so well in my sculpture class. Some of her head broke off but I managed to bake it all together and glue the pieces back on. It should be fine. I'm really paranoid she's going to fall forward and break more but she has been standing for hours on her own. As long as nothing shakes her I think she should do fine.

My 3D Modeling assignment is to make my 3D chess board. I'm done with the pieces and board. All I have to do now is animate it. I'm pretty excited. Edward seems pleased with what I have so far. :D I'm glad. He didn't seem to think I could do it. I sure showed him. MWAHAHAHAA!

Football games are a poo and a half. It's been so cold this week so work has been very uncomfortable. If Aeriel hadn't let me borrow her gloves I don't think I would have made it. I've had to work two games so far, the Saturday before last and last Thursday. First game I didn't even get to watch which was fine with me but at least the second time it gave me something to look at while I was bored out of my mind.

So today was the critique for my Harley figure. Everyone really liked it. Wasn't the best or most praised in the class but it was still probably one of the top 5. Maybe even top 3. I was pretty pleased. Her foot broke off shortly after though. I glued it back on but it's a little off. I'll fix it again later. It was pretty funny though. I started out my critique saying that Harley Quinn was abused by the Joker a lot. He then asked me if I think of myself as an abused girl and if I identify and see myself as Harley. Despite the fact that I do act like Harley like you all know, I totally acted like he was crazy and told him no, I don't see myself as her, I just like the basis for her character concept. I wasn't going to trap myself in a corner so he can yell at me again. Bleh.

I also started animating my chess set. I'm not happy with how slow the pieces are moving. I'll have to amp up the speed. I looked up a short game on youtube and I'm recreating that. Hopefully it will look cooler with lighting and camera angles.

I had a lot of fun with Mom this weekend. :D

Last night was awesome. I got a call from Hat John saying that he had the first few episodes of Dexter season 3 so he invited me over to watch. Half way through the first episode he commented that he loves how we can never watched movies together because we end up talking through the whole thing. Hadn't even realized how much we missed. We still got the just of it though. We had snacks and made jokes. It was just a good time. <3

I'm so glad this is a short week. I don't feel like working.

I want tomorrow off so I can go to the movies with my friends. SIGH.

I think I'm going to tell John I like him soon....

Twinkle Twinkle

So this weekend has gotten much much better.

Saturday I went to the football game as planned, upset my wishes were not answered. However, I decided since I could not be there in person I would send Bonnie some in character text messages. So I sent her:

"Sorry I overslept for the tea party again." - Dormouse
She said it was the cutest and most forgivable excuse ever. <3

Later I called her and sang the Twinkle Twinkle little Bat song when she informed me that the party was postponed because there was no parking at the tea place. I was sad for Bonnie, but happy that those of us who weren't able to make it will hopefully get to the next round. <3

During the game I also got a call from Tara saying that she was so sick she had to go to the emergency room and asked if I could do the makeup for Parking Lot Babies (Which was AMAZING and HILARIOUS) so I said yes, naturally.

The game was ok too. I wasn't able to watch it from where I was, which I'm not disappointed about, and the people I worked with were really nice. I was at gate 3 which I think is the student entrance. The other two cops kept making jokes with me, trying to make me smile. They let me go get food from the tailgating booths and during the game let me leave and get pizza. :D They were very nice.

Immediately after the game I went to change and then went to the play to do the makeup. I was really excited that I was getting to help and somehow be a part of the play since it was so great. However, since so many people were sick they decided to cancel the play. They would rather everyone be healthy in time for the competition. I wish I could go. That would be awesome to watch, especially since it's not here this time.

Anyway!

After the play was canceled Cat and I went back to my dorm and watched some Firefly and other Firefly related things. Then I got a call from Bonnie asking if I wanted to come over so Lina came to pick me up. We watched Trick r Treat and Drag Me to Hell. Now, I had seen some of Drag Me to Hell but it was so gross I turned it off. Well, it just got worse and weirder but it was hilariously stupid. We had so much fun my head hurt from laughing.

We also decided Bonnie needs her own cooking show because everytime I go over there she tries to make us something to eat or drink and something always goes wrong because she forgets she making things. <3 She's adorable.

Today was Ren Fair again! Mom and Larry came to pick me up and we had some trouble finding the place. However, after getting some directions we made it just in time for Cat to get us in half price! Mom seemed to have so much fun. We did archery again, which I guess I did ok on. I kept aiming too high though. Larry got the bell on the strength test, we watched the joust..

OH!

OHHHH!

Fricken jousting people! If you went to Ren Fair with me 2 years ago, you know my hate of the joust. That year Sir Victor was the green knight up against the red knight, right? So the red knight was the HERO and everyone LOVED him! Poor Victor, who played by the rules and kept getting cheap hits and jokes thrown at him by the so called HERO, was always booed at and taunted. I loved Sir Victor and got weird looks and teased for rooting for him. But I stuck by him! I stuck by him because he was a good man of clean morals!

But NO! This year... I knew I would hate it but I went anyway... and I saw him. Sir Victor. I was so excited... only to find out.... Sir Victor was.... a villain... A VILLAIN! He was mean and nasty and and fought dirty like his previous red knight counterpart! WHY!? WHY would you switch to a life of crime, Sir Victor?? I trusted you!

Anyway!

Those turkey legs are DELICIOUS!

We watched the juggler, the hard core armored fights, the end of Fool Hearty, and some of the glass blowers demo. It was a great day!

But at the end of it all I made a purchase. The largest purchase I've ever made at the Ren Fair... I bought a costume. A full costume. BEAUTIFUL dress and I love it to pieces but it was SO MUCH MONEY and I FEEL SO BAD for buying it! I know I will get my money's worth from it but still, I could have bought an xbox with that money! o_o

But it made me feel pretty and an xbox can't make me feel pretty.

So it was a great trip and a nice day! :D

Out of Gas

Meh. So this week has been kind of crappy. I'm having so much trouble in ceramics. Everytime I start to get the hang of something he adds another pound to it and I have to get used to it all over again and by the time I get used to it he adds another so I'm having SO much trouble with 4 pound pitchers. I've made 3 so far. I need 6 but the ones I have are short and fat and wobbly and weird looking and I cant get them to come out right and it's really driving me crazy and they are due Tuesday and I still have 5 pound pitchers to make! AHHHH!

We had a guest artist this week which was pretty cool. He did a demo in ceramics and made a ceramic portrait of my teacher, Dennis. It was pretty cool, kind of cartoony, but he only had like 2 hours to work on it so if he had time to perfect it I'm sure it would have been amazing.

He also came into my sculpture class and did a sculpy demo which was amazing and I'm so eager to get started on my piece. It's a Harley Quinn action figure with domestic violence undertones since everything has to have some sort of stupid meaning. Oh well, my concept sketch is cute.

I've been so depressed this week since they told me I have to work the stupid football game on Saturday, Bonnie's birthday party. Everyone make a wish that the game will be canceled somehow. Please? If we all wish together maybe it will come true.

I just... I just want this week to be OVER. I still haven't seen Parking Lot Babies.

And I think I failed my biology test today, or rather got a C because I knew some of it. I dunno.

I'm just.... I'm just so burnt out. I want the holidays more than you know. I'm just so tired of everything and tired in general.

And this week of work has been terrible. A lot of bad stuff has been going down on campus. I haven't been able to hang out with my friends, it's just been a bad week.

Last night was fun though. I went to the VAS lockin and bought me a ceramics club t-shirt that fits me pretty well. And I raided all the snacks, hula hooped, hand built in ceramics, took some silly pictures, and then went back to the dorm and Eileen and I watched some Castle. There was apparently another Firefly reference in the Halloween episode other than the Mal Reynolds costume that Nathan Fillion mentioned in an interview so we watched the Halloween episode trying to pay attention to everything in the background. So when we didn't fit it we went online to see if anyone else had found it. Some girl mentioned something behind Castle 14 seconds into the episode. We replayed it and sure enough, on a shelf behind him was a very small and dark something. I said I thought it was the catalyzer from the compression coil that broke off of the ship in the episode Out of Gas. So, we zoomed in and replayed Out of Gas and sure enough, it was it. Oh well. I would have never seen that even if I wasn't watching it on tiny hulu.

Friday the 13th... I used to love you but combined with this crap week I'm starting to dislike you a little. Oh well.

Dead Fish Bag

Ren Fair was awesome!

It could have been better if Evan hadn't wanted to watch the stupid LSU game and wanted to leave early but oh well. It was still cool and I got in half price so I can't complain.

I set my alarm for 10:00 so that I could be ready in time since we were leaving for noon. I forgot to turn it on apparently because I woke up at 11:30. I paniced, got dressed, and ran to get breakfast. Done just in time. Go me.

So Hat John came with us, which I was very excited about. I don't think it would have been nearly as much fun. Aeriel is very reserved with her feelings and Evan kept running off to do other things.

So all played King of the Log. First up was me V.S. Aeriel. I won very easily. Didn't fall off once. Then John and Evan went. John won. So we had a Champions match. I knocked him off twice, he knocked me off once, and then I defeated him. So I am the ultimate king of the log. I beat Molly last year so I feel accomplished in my abilities to balance on a log and beat the crap out of my friends. <3

Ashley and Squirrel were there too. I really love their costumes. I wish I could have dressed up. Next year, man! Next year I'm dressing up! No matter what!

I also got to ride a Hippogriff (it was a giant swing in the shape of one). It was weird at first because it was just me and 3 little kids but I asked the parents if it was ok and they didn't care. I giggled the whole time. Swings and Carousels. I never laugh more than when I'm on a carousel... Oh well. I high fived the two little girls sitting across from me. It was awesome.

I tried the archery thing for the first time. John was really good but I was ok. At least I hit the hay thinger the vast majority of the time. Didn't always hit the target, but I did a few times. Hush!

Btw, we invented The Game. We saw Johnsy there who after a while of talking yelled "THE GAME!" which John cleverly pointed out that since we were back in time that the Game didn't exist yet. So we decided to create the game right then and there. We recited the rules out loud and then toasted to the invention of The Game. Little did we know the horror we had set upon the world....

There was a Jester guy there who had a sign that said HUGS on it. So I run up and gave him a hug. He then looked at John and opened his arms asking for a hug. They then circled each other as if in a grappling match and finally ran in for an epic man-hug. Later we saw him again and after I gave him a hug he and John squared off for another battle-hug. Only this time was SO AWESOME. John picked him up and twirled him around, his shoes came off, and he randomly went limp in John's arms. Dropping him gently to the ground he then freaked out, proclaiming he had hugged him to death. He was alright though. Dirty from being on the ground, but alright.

IT'S A DEAD FISH BAG!

John redeemed his manliness by hitting the bell in that... get-a-hammer-and-hit-the-thing-to-make-the-thing-go-up-and-hit-a-bell game. They had different levels named after animals. I got deer. Aeriel got mouse. Even and John were the two men and got the bell. Took John only three tries though. Took Evan 5. John wins. :D

We also witnessed a giant game of jenga and then a giant chess set. It was AWESOME.

And last, but not least, before we left we got knighted by the Queen herself! We saw the ceremony going on and, curious, I asked a girl who had just gotten knighted. Apparently you just go up to them, say your name, they fill out a certificate, and the Queen knights you. But before she does she asks you three questions and then makes you promise to do well in school, listen to authority figures because they have your best interest in mind, and to protect those smaller than you. So I'm officially Lady Deshi.

I'm so badass.

After Ren Fair I went to eat with John and found Mark there. He mentioned he was bored so we went back to his dorm and watched all the random internet videos we could think of and two spin offs of Haruhi Suzumia. HILARIOUS night.

But one of the best parts was again, when John and I parted ways, we had our epic hallway gunfight. Only this time Natasha, the 4th floor RA, stumbled upon us.

I was "injured" from escaping his grenade blast so I ran up to Natasha clutching my shoulder. She asked me what was going on so I rolled behind a wall and pointed out John and said we were having a gunfight. It was so funny. She threw her arms up, said "Fuck Yeah!" and drew two finger pistols. I called John and said I had back up, that the RA had stopped to join me. He was about to surrender from being out numbered when Mark showed up and joined HIS team. When we thought all hope was lost Mark fled the scene leaving him vulnerable. I yelled for Natasha to toss me my bazooka, just loud enough for John to hear on the phone. We fired it and a few seconds later I heard him say he hoped we liked our missile back. I knew he had knocked it back so I yelled for Natasha to duck and cover, making exploding noises into the phone and coughing realistically for the dust. We were pretty bad off until Natasha mentioned she was wearing a medical t-shirt at the time. Awesome, I officially had a medic! So she healed my wounds and we retaliated with grenades. He yelled, "Oh, crap!" and several seconds after we fired it I heard him make an explosion noise on the other end.

Natasha was really into it too. She suddenly yelled "AH! I'm hit! Don't worry, it's just a graze! I'll be fine!"

So after a while I was getting tired so I said we would finish the battle later. Natasha said she never had so much fun doing rounds. I was proud to have made her night.

And then John and I got right on Dead Frontier. Apocalypse Romance FTW. <3

Zombie Lovin

I'm getting SO SICK of wheel throwing. So burnt out on this crap and I still apparently have a lot more to learn before the end of the semester. I hate this and I want it to be over. ;~;

And I got a B- on my sculpture today. My concrete one. I was originally going to stack the Xs and Os randomly but when I got to class one of my Os was broken so I made up this elaborate battle scene between the Xs and Os, the Xs slaughtering the Os mercilessly. The Os were beaten, one was in half, another crumbled to bits with its parts strewn across the battlefield. It was epic. I loved it. And so did everyone else. But as usual, my teacher wasn't impressed. I guess a B isn't bad, but I was just expecting something better, I suppose.

In other news, Edward was still freaking out about me doing the kniggit for the chess set so I started making it when he left the room. When he came back he was impressed by it and said I was much better at Maya than he thought. I hope that's a good thing. :D

My schedule for next semester will be fun but I feel like I need to fill it with something more. I couldn't schedule the science I wanted because it's during my art class so I have 4 classes and a random swimming class. Eh. I have Art History, the second 3D Modeling class, Psychology, and Intermediate Digital Photography. I feel like I need another class but the closer I get to the end of my class list the less options I have. Most of the remaining classes I have are things you can only take your last semester. Like Senior Project, Thesis Presentation or whatever it's called, Senior Seminar, ect. I still have no idea what I want to do for my senior project but I'm really started to like Maya a lot. I know I'll eventually get sick of it like MBLM is currently going through but now that we are actually getting into making cool shapes and such I'm getting excited. I hope I stay that way for a while.

Also, some great progress on the Hat John front. I think I'm finally in. We played Dead Frontier together tonight and he spent the whole night saying things like "I'll protect you!" and "There's no one I'd rather be with <3" during the apocalypse. Hearts and all. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Also, he likes nerdy uncommon baby names! FATE, people! He also likes the name Juniper. lol

So yeah, some good and bad mixed in there but I think I'm more focused on the good right now.

This weekend Aeriel, Evan, and I are going to Ren Fair if all goes according to plan. I have several friends working it so hopefully I can get in free or half price. :D

Kniggits

So I haven't written in... what? 2 weeks?

Nothing too eventful has happened. I was supposed to work the football game on halloween, or I was told I was most likely going to be so I took Thursday off so that I would still have enough hours to remain under 20 hours to work the game.

So Thursday was the Anime club halloween party. It was actually pretty cool. We watched Crevices, had a dance off with the Haruhi dance, Caramel Dansen, and the Lucky Star song, we played spider web limbo, and had the costume contest. Much fun. :D And the snack selection was awesome!

So Saturday rolled around and turns out I don't have to work the game so I called mom and she and Larry came to get me so I could spend Halloween with them. We went straight to see Amelia, which was only about 60% of why I wanted to come home, to see Amelia in her costume. The other 40% was to FINALLY hand out candy to trick-or-treaters which I have never done since no kids ever come to our houses no matter where we live.

Amelia was ADORABLE in her ladybug costume. No bias, she is the most adorable baby ever in the world.

So after we finally got home there was only a half an hour left of trick or treating.

Which that's another thing! PISSES ME OFF. Like, literally, I'm kind of sickened by this. WHY is there a curfew on trick or treating now? That's RIDICULOUS! Two hours is not enough time to truly have fun. And it wasn't even dark! It's no fun if it's not a little scary! This just enrages me! My kids will follow NO SUCH RULES!

So I got home, all excited for giving out candy. I threw together a costume, pulled out my witch hat, black dress, cape, black stockings, boots, glow stick bracelets, and my new witch hat necklace and waited. I even bought a spider web basket to put the candy while I handed it out.

No one came.

No one ever does... SIGH.

And what's worse, TV played no good halloween movies. It was a complete rip off. I just pigged out in my costume and watched Ghost Busters. Oh well.

My cement project is pissing me off but hopefully it will be over soon. Critique is Wednesday. Also, found out after this we get to move on to METAL....... WHY? Out of the frying pan and into the IDON'TWANNADOTHIS!

Poop.

Today was pretty fun in my 3D modeling class, which is the first time I've probably ever referred to that class as fun. He told us our next assignment was to make a 3D model of a toy and animate it. Well, I asked if I could do a chess set and he immediately said no. He said that the kniggits were too hard. Which was funny because he said kniggits like in Monty Python and I, surprisingly, was the ONLY one in the class to catch that reference. What is this world coming to? So I whined and begged and told him I could do it so he's letting me try. I already started constructing the pieces. I'm actually excited for this project. :D

We did NOTHING at work today. Aeriel was too cold to do work and everyone else was just watching the game (Dammit, I just lost the game...) so we goofed off for 5 hours. Literally, we didn't even inspect the dorms. We went to north campus and that was it. I wrote like 5 tickets too.

Oh, and btw... I'm officer 69 now. Yep...

Oh well. That's about it.

OH YEAH!

Tonight after texting back and forth to Hat John I felt daring and said "I think I'm in love. lol" and he responded with "^.^ <3"

So I'm taking that as a good sign. :D

Random Forts and Cardboard Pizza

So this weekend mom and I went to a craft show. It was pretty big but not as big as I expected. I did get a few nifty Christmas gifts and tried a mint julip for the first time. It was gross. I also had a lot of fun hanging out with mom as usual.

Next time I go home I want to get the purple highlights in my hair. :D

I got the cement for my sculpture class but I haven't used it yet. I actually JUST finished making the mold for it. The X that is. The O is going to be made later when I get a cake pan.

Work has been ok. We've been occupying ourselves playing hide and seek in the dorms. It makes me smile. It's nice hanging out with Aeriel all the time now but sometimes she gets a little too out of control with the whole, "We should be more serious!" thing and then 2 minutes later she'll do something to goof off, and then go back to being emo and serious. It's confusing. I don't know what to do or how to act so I just let her decide what we do and go along with it.

Yesterday was a little odd though. I had been in classes all day then I took a long dinner break and went back to the dorm for 6:00. I checked my phone since I had left it at the dorm and I had a message from Aeriel saying we had a meet for a 6:00 meeting in uniform. I freaked out, grabbed my uniform and equipment, and booked it for the station. We were going in early to watch a video on campus shootings and then going to work meaning we would get off an hour early. I was great with this. :D And I wasn't late for the video and no one said anything about me not being in uniform when I got there. It all worked out.

Tonight I did discover something really awesome though. We were going to ZT for rounds when we found a giant cardboard box fort sitting outside when several people inside of it. It was complete with mini fridge, shelves carved out of the boxes, special entrances for each of its creators, and various other furniture. I have never been more excited. XD

So I guess the job is going good. Other than lack of social life, which will be corrected this weekend hopefully, It's really fun. My feet are still not used to it yet though but I will reach that point soon. <3

OH! I got to see Hat John tonight. Twas hilarious. We were on duty so we goofed off with him and Ethan for about a half an hour. And I got free pizza! :D King Awesome just randomly gave me pizza. I love my king.

Police Perks

Tonight was a loooooooooooooot more fun. It rained so we didn't have to write tickets and it was cooler, they had this weird event going on in Pennington so we went and got some free food and drink, they told us a big storm was coming in so we should just stick to the dorms so we just goofed around in the lobbies waiting out the rain. It was pretty much just 5 hours of goofing off. And I don't have to work the game this weekend! Win!

Also there was a woman named Erica working in the station who is a total nerd. We talked about MMO's, comics, ect. It was awesome. I feel like I will enjoy this job once it gets cooler and my feet get used to all the walking.

So classes today. Latin was pretty cool. I have a take home test to do. I also love it when my teacher reads from Ovid's Metamorphosis. She loves it so much and you can tell while she reads it.

I felt kind of bitter for a while today. Like everyone was out to get me for some reason or little innocent comments were offensive. I got over it after my classes were over though. Silly really.

Ceramics was cool. I mixed it up today and glazed some cups, decorated one mug with hydrangeas, and then made some more cups for my next critique. Which I need to make at least 3 more before I go home tomorrow.

I do think I will like this job a bit more. It's slowly sinking into place, I think. And I hope so too. I really need a job and this one seems pretty nice. :D Good people.

Quick recap!

Saturday we had the second Zombie photo shoot. It was in D Vic on the third floor which was awesome because we were running around the pitch black empty floor of the school building. It set the perfect creepy mood for the shoot. I can't wait to see the pictures!

Sunday I just sat around eating junk food and watching Disney movies. Funfun!

Yesterday I spent the vast majority of my time designing the door decoration for the Door Designing contest they are having for the dorms. The theme is "SLU's Got Game" so I drew Rumi-chan playing Guitar Hero with the Guitar Hero buttons scrolling down the track thing with lions and paw prints in the background. It looks pretty bad ass. I found out this morning though from Eileen that I was apparently late entering so she took a picture of the door and turned it in because she's a good girl. Let's hope they accept it.

I also got my work uniform which they were out of women's uniforms so I had to get a men's.

I made a new batch of clay today in ceramics and it makes me sad. The last batch was really soft and this one is pretty hard so the difference in clay texture is throwing me off and it's like learning to throw all over again. Even though it's apparently harder to throw with soft wet clay than it is with hard. It's just that I learned on wet clay so now harder clay is strange to me. I'll get it soon though. I have a week to get it.

Today was my first day working for the campus police. Aeriel taught me how to clock in, get my radio, and the other signing in routine. After that we walked around with the other cadet goofing off and going through dorms. We visited Hat John, explored ZT, a few other dorms, and then went to get coffee and later food. It was mainly just fun hanging out time until Aeriel and I went to North Campus which is more or less the ticket writing area. I wrote 4 tickets tonight that Aeriel pointed out for me. I know how to write them and for what violations so I should be alright to find them on my own now. There are a few that are kind of 'head scratch' like if they don't have any tags they are assumed guests and don't get tickets. If they are in a greek organization they are "immune" because a few cadets and officers are in them. Oh well.

Tomorrow I'm going to get my card set so that I can use it to get into any dorm. :D

Well, I'm tired and hungry so night night! Good first night other than my feet hurting and they heat.

So today started out horribly shitty. Like, epic shitty.

My sculpture teacher made me cry. I was presenting my piece, which was divining rods of love. They locate your personal love. Well, I had Christmas lights on them so as he was looking at them he commented that it would be cool if the lights actually came on. Well, I casually mentioned that I really didn't know how to do that sort of thing. I didn't have many men in my family-- and then he cut me off, outraged that I would be so ANTI-FEMINIST that I would suggest that only men would know how to do that. I was dumbfounded. I had NO idea he would get so upset and I had NO intention of hurting anyone's feelings. It just sort of came out. And I didn't really mean it to be sexist. But seriously, my family is pretty stupid when it comes to that sort of stuff. At least the girls are. But he goes off on a 5 minute rant about how it's people like me that keep the work thinking in sexist ways and that I should know better as a girl and I should be more of a feminist. That it was a stupid comment to make. So after failing for a minute to redeem myself I just sat back and took it, giving a blank glare and saying nothing but, "Yes, sir."

He asked me a question later but all I said was, "No. No, I'm not going to walk into that one, sir. I refuse to answer that."

So the critique continued as usual until I apparently said something ELSE that was idiotic. Silly me. I spoke.

So I said that I made a female version of the divining rod but thought it was too simple. So I decided to make a second one to make it more complex. And I happened to have some spare dowels--

Opps. Lookit that. I'm in trouble again. STUPID ME.

So it was just a work of convenience? I had extra materials so I made another one? No point or concept behind them?

Tried to defend myself by saying it was not because I had them. It was just a little side note. Well, apparently it was a "STUPID" thing to say. That you should never say something like that during a critique. He asked when my Sophomore Review was, as if implying that I must have done horrible on it because I was being so damn stupid right now.

By the end of all of this I was so upset I was beyond words. I tried so hard to look unphased and my usual self. But when we were given our 5 minute break I grabbed my things and left. And cried. I couldn't take it. He loved my pieces but lectured me on single words I spoke. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE been scolded during a critique like that, ESPECIALLY since I was being scolded on something other than my actual piece! My WORDING.

I was so freaked out for several hours. I didn't go back to class and I did not go to my last class. Apparently I didn't miss anything though.

So as my therapy I went to Hat John's zombie photo shoot. I got my makeup out and got all undead and shit. Then I put on my clothes and ventured forth. While waiting I sat and ripped up my shirt and pants to be used for the shoot. It looked pretty good too. I was excited.

So a few showed and we moved into the room behind the gallery where Megs and Bonnie put on their makeup and ripped clothes. We were waiting for Tara and Randi but they were running late. So to entertain ourselves we stared through the glass door leading into the art gallery (which was having a gallery opening at the time) and amused people who were inside. After a while we decided to go inside the gallery and walk around, doing everything we could be keep our disruptions to a minimum, being completely quiet and actually looking at the art. We did get some attention though. Most people seemed excited to see us, however, I'm wondering if Dennis was angry with us. He didn't SEEM happy though he never does.

So after a while of waiting we just went straight to the parking garage where we were going to shoot. There Tara and Randi joined us. Also, John's friend Ethan was there and he was pretty awesome.

So we had Randi, Tara, Megs, Bonnie, Ethan, and I as zombies. Well, Ethan and Randi didn't start as zombies. The harem of zombie girls turned them. lol

It was a BLAST! I haven't had so much fun in a while and it made me smile after my shit week. We ended the shoot at around 7 or so and decided to all go out and see Zombieland. I'm pretty much the only one who kept the FULL makeup and costume. Some changed clothes or took off the blood but it was still pretty great. The movie was AWESOME too. Epic and hilarious! A must see!

So I never felt so happy to take a bath in my life. <3

And I did get some nice time with Hat John. He always complimented me on my poses for the shoot, he waited for me and opened doors for me when we walked around. And when we saw the movie I did something they did in the movie to be silly and pushed his hair behind his ear in a romantic way. So later on he did it to me and it made me smile. :D

The pictures looked AMAZING! He let me see them in his dorm with the stereograph... machine.... thing. They looked so flippin awesome in 3D!

Lemon Curd

This weekend we celebrated Mom's birthday. :D

Sister and I went out and bought her a Digital Photo Frame since I know she's been wanting one for years. And as an extra gift, we got her an LSU Snuggie. She loves both her gifts. And hell, Snuggies are actually pretty freakin comfortable and warm. I really want one now. It was originally just a gag gift but I have a feeling I will be stealing it from time to time.

We had a great day too. Sister and I made a big meal and Brother, Kelly, Amelia, Larry, and Alexander came over for a late dinner. Larry showed us that he could light a match with his thumb nail so Brother tried the rest of the night to do it but failed every time. Mom took a chance and tried, lighting it after a few tries. We will never let brother live it down that she got it and he didn't. lol

Today was Mother's ACTUAL birthday and I've been freaking out all day and rather all week. I had Sophomore Review today which was, for art majors, a day when we show 20 works from our foundations classes and talk to a panel of teachers about them. I haven't been able to relax about it but when I found out yesterday that Troy was on my panel I felt so much better about it and I knew he would look out for me.

Yeah. The bastard left right before mine so I was left with SARAH WISEMAN and I teacher I've never heard of. And they asked me a question I didn't know and in my loss for words I almost threw up. THAT'S how nervous I was. They did comment on my craftsmenship. Some of my work had thumb prints or bent corners. Bah. I honestly don't know how I did but Tara's fortune telling book didn't make me feel any better. It kept giving me negative predictions and I yelled at it. It wasn't cool.

But on a lighter note Tara-sama and I went to Best Buy and she got a new Horror movie long over due for release and I got the collector's edition of Serenity since our DVD seems to be missing anyway and I'm a nerd so I need extended scenes and additional back story. We got Wendy's and then went back to her apartment to watch the movie she got. It was ADORABLE. Little pumpkin headed child killing people with candy. CUTEST. THING. EVAR.

And also I danced around with my Joker balloon to "Someday my Prince with Come." Hellz yeah.

So I think my day ended nicely. :D

Tickle Tickle

Monday night Hat John was feeling depressed because his teacher didn't really like his photoshoot so I invited him over for movie night Monday. Which didn't really turn out to be a movie night. We're going to have to switch it to a different night because Monday is now the new episodes of House and The Big Bang Theory. So he and Eileen came over and we watched those two shows and then looked up videos on youtube all night. He got us addicted to a certain singing comedian as well as a game called Canabalt. SO AWESOME.

Tueday has now been dubbed Clay Day because from now on every Tuesday Kit will come to the ceramics lab and I will teach her wheel throwing techniques. She said she wanted to try it so I thought I would let her learn on my clay. She's doing rather well. After that we hung out with Eileen.

Though my teacher sort of messed me up. My assignment was 6 mugs of a certain style for a critique next week. Well, I got done early so he told me to do 6 more of a different style by next week. And this week is short from the Fall Break so I had 2 days to finish these cups. Lucky I had a good day and got all the cups done and then had time Wednesday to trim and put handles on them before mom came to get me.

Also, my sculpture teacher is expecting a completely different sculpture for class Monday but that one was too hard and I think this one is cuter anyway. Cute may not be the best term in his opinion but I like it and I worked hard on it. So XP

I got to see Amelia today. She's getting so big. I don't know what it was but she just looked so much more grown up from the last time I saw her and it made me sad. Like I missed something. I'm so jealous of Dana that she gets to see her so often while I'm at school. We played for hours today. I got to feed her and change her diaper and we read books and played games and she even said a word today. It was really the first thing I heard her say though they claim she's talked before. She kept saying "Tickle Tickle" Which struck us as odd because of all the things for her to say... why that? You know? Oh well. It was adorable and we laughed every time she said it, which was all day. We also decided she is Invincibaby and Dana is her arch nemesis, Dr. Giggles! I'm the Mayor of the town, Mayor TickleTickle, who calls her when the city is in danger! Yep... we totally have this all figured out. It's awesome.

Today was absolutely delightful!

We started by going to the English Tea Room. Tara drove Megan and I then Bonnie and Molly met us, and then Megs came. :D

There was this adorable cat outside too. We thought he was like the shop's new mascot. <3 So cute.

I got the Chocolate Chai this time and I got my own Petite Windsor or however you spell it because I forgot to eat before I went. It's so expensive and I was hungry so I had to get more food than I planned. But it was soooooo good! And they are SO nice there. The owner even brought out a hat rack and we put on funny hats and boas. We took a lot of pictures with Megan's phone too. I can't wait to see them. I would have brought Mugsy but Ashley has my memory card for him and it's the only one I have with me on campus... for some odd reason. I need more SD cards.

Oh, I also bought a tea cup and some lemon curd. OMG, lemon curd is delicious!

After the tea room we went to Zita's, as is the tradition, and I found the most beautiful necklace. I feel bad for buying it but it is so beautiful I'm really glad I did.

We went back to Tara's but I spent my time in Megan's apartment. We found a kitty that was so friendly. Bonnie is keeping her. Her name is Clyde. Get it? Bonnie and Clyde? They gave her a bath and she's just the sweetest thing.

So we went to the play and I really didn't want to go but I'm glad I did. Simply for the company. Not really for the play itself. We rode with Mark and Melissa. I've decided that Mark is the male, gay, me.

Ah... Yep... Tomorrow is art day. I'm so sleepy. Nightnight time.

Chocolate Shots

So I haven't updated in a while so I figured I'd do a short recap of everything I can remember.

Last Sunday I woke up kind of sicky. Not the full on vomiting sick, just the sniffles and a sore throat kind of sick. Of course, every time you cough or sneeze someone mentions the Swine Flu. Bah.

So I skipped class Monday because I was feeling particularly contagious and while I wasn't that much better I went to class Tuesday. Though I did leave early in Ceramics. No way I could concentrate well enough to throw. I tried to make ramen without water the other day in my idiot sicky mind. Didn't really work all that well.

I got a B on my last ceramic project. I dropped one of the mugs about 2 minutes before class started. I was so pissed. Well, not really pissed. I lacked the strength to be pissed. But I was some kind of upset. At least it was my least favorite cup and not one of the better ones.

My next assignment is making these really weird shaped mugs. I would never use a mug that shape but if he wants odd mugs, I'll make him odd mugs.

The other night, Wednesday I think, Kit and I decided to get some chocolate chip cookie dough from the little store because we were watching something on Food Network about the world's largest cookie. Got us hungry. So we went to the store and they had no such cookie dough..... so we bought about $20 of everything chocolate we could find. We piled it all onto Kit's bed and pigged out while watching Spaceballs. We did shots of chocolate milk, ate cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate ice cream, peanut butter twix, a warm delights brownie, ect. We ate maybe 3 bites and we were already complaining our stomachs hurt. Then Eileen came over and helped us polish some of it off and we watched Finding Neverland. I love that movie so much. I dig a man with imagination.

Today I'm going to the tea place again, only I'm going to order something a little cheaper than last time. I'm also going to see Virginia Wolfe with Tara. Then tomorrow Sita, Kristen, and I are going to have an art day. We're going to help Kristen with her assignment for Edward's class and take pictures for Sita's assignment. I have no assignment to work on so I'll just be there for fun. :D Because I'm sure they'll feed me.

Let's see... I asked Hat John if he wanted to see Gamer with me this weekend but he said he was going home this weekend to see his family. Oh well. Maybe next time.

I want to organize a trip to the costume store, bring my camera, and see if they will let us just take pictures of us trying on random costumes. :D How great would that do? Just running in, trying on costumes, and posing in them.

Sunday was pretty annoying and lasted way too long.

I called Ashley over because it was her birthday and I was afraid she would be all alone. So she brought over some soup and we were going to eat and watch a movie. Well, some friends of hers called and invited her to lunch so she asked me to come with her. I didn't realize what friends.

There is something about Andy that makes me want to just jam his nose bone into his brain with one swift upward palm heel strike....

So we went to eat, which wasn't so bad. The food was good for Mexican food and her friend Megan was pretty cool.

Then Andy volunteered them all to come back to my dorm and watch the movie we were going to watch, Crevices. He talked through the entire thing. Ashley and I couldn't say "Shut up, Andy!" enough times. Then after he ruined that they wanted to play Clue. Good thing Tara called when she did. I would have killed him. She came over and played with us. He was SO ANAL and obsessive compulsive about everything. He complained about everything, bragged about how good he was at the game the whole time and how he was doing everything in such a more efficient manner than the rest of us. Tara and I kept passing notes to each other about how much we wanted to hurt him. He even threw a temper tantrum when I beat him in the second game we played. Tara had won the second time. So apparently he WASN'T that good. Little bastard.

And now he has my number and thinks we're best buddies. Meh. FML.

Monday I went over to Hat John's after class and watched him play Arkham Asylum for a little while before conversation told him I hadn't played Portal. He stopped playing the game just to let me play Portal. More like MAKE me but I really wasn't complaining. I've always wanted to play Portal. I got to about level 17 when it was time to go to Eileen's ice cream thing Pride hall was putting on.

So I went back to the dorm to get Kit and we went to the social. We played I never which was fun but I learned things about people I didn't want to know. We pretty much left after that. Though I hear we missed an awesome game called Mafia.

Today I was in a crappy mood toward the middle of the day. My critique in Ceramics wasn't much of a critique. In fact, as soon as I got there he told me to get started on more cups so he could teach me handles to make mugs. Well, I was preparing for it when the critiques for the rest of my class started and since most of my teachers tell us not to ignore critique I ran over to watch. After they all went I got back to work on my cups. The teacher comes over and says, "You're just starting?" I said, "I was watching critiques." He said, "Oh. I guess that's ok." Like I wasn't even part of the class enough to watch. And mine was crap. He looked at them and said I got an A. Now, I like the grade but it wasn't much. Though he did say I did really well and I was learning pretty fast. That Trent should watch his back and I might be his new favorite wheel thrower but I wanted to feel included in the class.

And after that I couldn't center for crap so my cups came out horribly. I attempted 3 cups and then gave up and left. Oh well.

Then after I ran into Andy which dropped my mood even worse. I was kind of a bitch to him but seriously, if he takes the hint it's worth it. I really can't stand the guy.

Eileen was on duty as RA tonight so as we usually do we gather in our dorm and watch a movie. This week we selected Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker, the only animated movie with Harley. So I was excited. I invited Hat John over too which made it lots of fun.

We watched all three seasons of Gotham Girls tonight. Adorable series. You need to see it.

And then everyone went home. And I are bored again. Oh well.

Villainous Ways

September 10th was fun. I didn't think it would be as fun as it was. I had class then I went to the Alpha Psi meeting simply because I had missed the first one and all the staff meetings. Boring. Boring. But I entertained myself by taking pictures of literally everything that moved and some things that didn't.

Then I went off to Anime Club which I have to keep up these interesting entrances. The first time I came in Sierra squealed and ran at me. I was carrying food so I quickly put them down and braced for impact. So I got a pretty noticeable entrance there. This time I was late so I was sneaking in. They had placed a trash can to prop the books open and when coming in I tripped on the trash can, knocking it down, then frantically making more noise trying to pick it back up and smoothly walk away as if the whole room hadn't seen it.

And I have to admit... Detective Conan wasn't... THAT bad...

But DnD was the best part.

I'm not really sure I can describe it that well. Nothing really productive goes on in our games, sadly. We are n00bs, except for John so he kept trying to get the plot going more. We're more interested in humorous side trips and silly antics. Keep Joshua on his toes. lol

My birthday was wonderful! So let's go back to September 11th, shall we?

Most of it was quiet and uneventful which was more or less pretty perfect. I spent most of it just walking around campus looking for people I know. I treated myself to Popeyes, I found a Molly and an Aeriel, I took some free records from the Radio Station, and I had a merry old time.

Then it was time to go to the Art Gallery I had a piece entered in. I got all dressed up since it was said to be formal. I doubted it would be as formal as I was dressed but who cares! It was my birthday. I can dress up if I want. So I wore my black dress and new beret. I was dashing.

It was a small gallery but I knew a great deal of the people there. Tara brought me and Sita met up with us shortly after. Walked around, talked to people, avoided others, and saw some great art.

There was also quite the ordeal with wine glasses. Tara asked if we could keep them and I asked Mrs. Katz. She said no. So before I left I told her goodbye. She said I wasn't walking out with that glass. To set it down and when I didn't she physically took it from me so I wouldn't steal it. But little did she know I had a Tara who so thoughtfully stole her glass for me. <3

After that we went to Tara's and I got to see how it was decorated! She has some awesomely retro stuff! Record coasters, a lite brite lamp, antique cereal bowls, ect. It was so cute!

I told Tara about the free records so we rushed out to go get some... and then.... BARRY happened!

Who is Barry yoy ask? Why, Barry was a magazine salesmen. And a good one at that. Trying to get a trip to Jamaica with his fricken' Piña coladas... Made Tara feel so bad for not being able to buy something from him that she gave him $5.

A half an hour that man yapped at us. And by the time we got to the records, they were gone. Apparently 15 minutes before we got there some guy had taken them all. Fricken' Barry!

We hung out with Matt, Drew, and Amanda at the radio station until it was time to go to Ducky and Sita's for chili cheese fries and movies.

Those Saints. They let me play Arkham Asylum for the XBox! <3333

It was pretty confusing because I had never used an XBox before so when they told me what to press I had NO idea what buttons they were talking about. Some of them had weird names. But the game was AMAZING. So hard to tell game play from cut scenes, the dialogue is wonderful, all the voices from the Animated Series, and I squeed a little. Or maybe a lot. I loved it! I want it! I MUST HAVE IT!

After a little while of that we watched UP which was so adorable and heartmelting. So sad. So cute. I loved it.

After that they served me the cake Bonnie had made me with a little candle in it. I still had a half and hour left of my birthday so I was pleased that I got to make a wish in time. While they were singing to me in that dark room lit only by a candle and the fireworks screen saver of Ducky's computer, I realized how lucky I was to have such wonderful friends.

And then we watched District 9 while was ok. Great graphics. By the end of it we were so exhausted we could barely function.

So on to the next day.

Let's pretend it's September 12th again instead of 1:30 on the 13th.

I woke up really early and put the finishing touches on the dorm decorations. Megan dropped off my wonderfully pinned dress and I got ready for guests.

Tara and Aeriel showed up about a half and hour early but they had the most wonderful timing. I had just finished putting out the snacks.

Lina showed up very shortly after and I guess I was more in character than I thought. I left my keys in the room because I just figured I would open the dorm entrance for her and she would come into the building. Well, I got a little excited and flung myself at her in a big hug yelling "OH, MISTAH J!" before realizing the door to the building had closed and locked us out. Lucky I brought my phone with me. I called Tara.

"Red... Uh... I have a problem..."
"You forgot your keys, didn't you?"
"Uhh... Can you come get us?"
"Oh Harl..."

But right as Molly and Bonnie arrived so did the pizza! YAAAAAAY!

Yeppers.

Megan was on call for work but wasn't sure if she would have to go, especially since she fractured her ankle so she waited a while before showing up.

However, we were missing 2 guests. I sent a text to John and Joshua. Joshua had forgotten about the party and hadn't requested off of work. So that just left John as the Token white guy. Since I did have one guy at the last party I had. Library Boy.

To start the party off, since Lina had to leave early for work, we played a game! Pin the Grin on the Bat! Cheesey, I know. But fun. Especially since I had placed marbles on the floor in a confined area, Bonnie thought it would be fun to scatter them, and while Molly was spinning blindfolded she slipped on one. She's fine. It was just a little slip. But just the story of it is funny.

Aeriel made a great Penguin! So cute!

Sita and John showed up in the middle of the game so we made them play. Sita didn't have a costume since I just invited her yesterday so we stuck one of the bat signal logos on her back and said she was Man Bat.

Sita won Pin the Grin on the Bat, being the only one to put the smile on properly. lol

Then we watched Batman Returns. Bonnie loved the Cat Woman. Naturally. It's probably my favorite batman movie, or at least has my favorite Batman.... Other than Adam West. No batman trumps Adam West.

Hmm... What did we play then... I think we did the costume contest! I let them all vote and it was a tie between Bonnie as Cat Woman and Molly for Scarecrow. Personally, Bonnie had a more developed costume but Molly's made me smile way too much. I think despite the fact that Bonnie won, I'm going to totally make them both prizes. lol

I opened the gifts I got. :D Tara had given me the shot glass she got me from London (which is beautiful!) and then this awesome skirt from Hot Topic! It's red and black checkerboard with black mesh over it. And suspenders! So cute! Aeriel got me the camera necklace we saw at Urban Outfitters that Tara got! Now we match! Oh, the mini gift Tara gave me before we went to the art gallery was a tiny camera keychain we saw at Urban Outfitters that I almost bought but didn't. You press a button and it actually flashes and makes noise like a real camera. It's SO CUTE! Also, Lina got me the best card ever in the world. <3

Then was Riddler's Clues which confused the hell out of me since I had two teams going at once and I had to keep them from looking in certain places because I didn't want them messing up Kayleigh's things. And they totally got some clues I thought were somewhat difficult or not obvious so I'm pretty happy with it. :D I got praised for cleverness. <3 Yay me! Especially for "With little time left, Oh what will you do? The Clown Girl of Crime, has stolen your clue." They had to come to me and I had hidden the card down the front of my dress. Yep. I had that card there through the whole party.

My decorating was awesome. I outdid myself. And I didn't even get to do a lot of the things I had originally planned on doing too! I just rule.

After that I think we watched Gotham Knight which no one really paid attention to. I think Sita left before then too. Tara and Aeriel left soon after. Aeriel wasn't feeling well and I think Tara had some things to do. I hope they had fun. :D

Then we played some Lego Batman because Megan called and said she was gunna come over so we held off on playing Clue until she got there. First John and Molly played as Harley and the Joker and then I think Molly left to get Megan and I took over for her. I can't remember if Bonnie played. I think she just sat and watched.

Well, when Megan got there we all settled down for a game of Clue... Only I used Batman Heroclix for the character pieces! How awesome am I? They were a little too big for the squares but we did a good job keeping up with it. It was an awesome game of awesome awesomeness. And best part? The Joker did it. lol

Oh, did I mention that I set a paper plate on fire by accident? Because I did. I wasn't thinking and it was a pretty kind with the sparkles on it. Didn't think about it. Popped it right in the microwave. A few seconds later I see something shiny out the corner of my eye. It's a damn good thing I was hovering around that microwave. My plate was on fire. Like, FLAMES. I yelped and blew it out, we all frantically opened doors and windows to fan out the air. We didn't want the fire alarm to go off in the room.

WARNING - Plate is flammable and may ignite if placed in microwave. Do no place in Microwave.

Maybe I WAS channeling Harley.

Anyway, we waited for Lina to come over before watching Batman Forever. Lina was starving after work so I was happy to be able to feed her. :D I think about half way through or something Molly, Megan, and Hat John left but Lina and Bonnie stayed behind with me. We had a nice time making Lina speak spanish, discussing Halloween ideas, and talking about how hilarious Jim Carrey is as The Riddler.

And when it was over they left. And thus the party ended. :D I even gave them parting gifts since they were the last to leave. Bonnie got my card castle and Lina got the bomb I made. <3 Both easily made.

9 and a half hours of party. Not bad.

I had a wonderful time! I hope everyone had fun!

Pre-Date

So today I went on a Pre-Date with Hat John.

I only call it a pre-date because I don't want to call it a date because I'm too much of a pansy to ask him if it was a date. So it was a prequel to hopefully a date.

Anyway.

We left the dorms at around 8:00 and drove to his house. He thought his parents were asleep since the lights were off so he said he would sneak in really quick, get what he needed, and then come right back out. Well, sitting in the car was fine and all but once the porch light went out it got a little creepy.

I got out to go inside with him and he was coming out right as I got there. I saw his parents were up though so I wanted to tell them hi. We ended up staying for almost a half an hour. They were watching Criminal Minds so I played with the dog and talked to them and listened to John talk to them.

So we left and got there just in time. He paid for the tickets like a gentleman.

The movie was AWESOME! Just as great as I expected. There were certainly a few things that I was surprised about. They definitely went to a very creepy place with it. I liked the new ones though. I was originally upset that they talked and that they made more than just 5 and 9 alive in it. But it was SO GREAT that it's not even an issue anymore!

So after the movie we went home and John pops in AVENUE Q! My element!

We divided up the characters and sang all the parts! It was a little awkward during the love songs but I uncharacteristically got all giddy and smiley. Like... did he notice? Did he plan it? Am I imagining things?

Singing Mix Tape was almost torture.
"He likes me. I think he likes me. But does he like me like me like I like him? Should we be friends or something more. I think he's interested but I'm not sure."

So we got back to the dorm and I was a little upset because it meant our musical would end... but then we realized there was no parking. We drove around for maybe a half an hour to 45 minutes looking for parking, singing and complaining about the lack of parking. When we DID finally find something we stayed in the car until we had completed the CD. :D

When we got out of the car there was a slight... hesitation. Like we didn't know what to do. So I extended my arm and we Wizard of Oz skipped over to the dorm door. And we said our goodbyes.

And I felt all shaky and fluttery. I assume that's a good sign. I watched him walk all the way back to his dorm.

Black Beret

My birthday gathering with my family was awesome. :D

We woke up early, went to church, and then got the food ready and such. Brother, Alexander, Kelly, Amelia, and Larry came over. Amelia knows how to wave now! She's so adorable!

Even Alexander was a bit more calm. He was very good with Amelia and we played a bit of Scrabble before I opened presents.

It was a nice little family get together. Food was good, company was good, gifts were great. It was just a nice time.

My dress needs to be taken in a bit in the sides since the chest area is too big. I'm hoping I can get someone at school to fix it before Saturday. Maybe Megan or Nan if I'm desperate. If all else fails I'll just pin it. The jacket will cover it anyway. It shouldn't be so bad. I honestly don't feel as self conscious as I thought I would in the dress. The jacket certainly helps though. Once I get it pinned or taken in I think it will be perfect. :D

I hope everything goes according to plan.

The tripod is so perfect! Especially since I just started that photo shoot group with my friends! Now I can be awesome. I have a camera, a flash, and a tripod. How awesome am I?

The socks make me smile. I loooove long socks. Now I want shorts or something to wear them with. Or a nice skirt. I have skirts though so I have that.

I'm not big on The Dark Knight Joker which is the one on the notebook Larry got me but it's still cute and very sweet of him to get me something at all. The shoelaces are amazingly perfect! <3

I don't think the dress looks as good on me as I had hoped but I think once I have the right bra on and the top taken in I will like it a lot more. The beret is so awesome though! I LOVE IT! I'm going to wear it all the time now. XD
